IFYE Host Family Opportunities

The goal for the 2026 IFYE Program is for the IFYE Association of the USA to sponsor 10 inbound IFYEs from around the world and to send 10 outbound USA IFYEs to participating countries. Kansas has requested to host one IFYE for summer 2026. Countries participating for 2026 are not yet finalized. Once country details are finalized and IFYEs are assigned to a state, they will be shared on this page.

From June through August each year, Kansas 4-H families currently host an IFYE exchange delegate for 2-3 weeks during their 10-week stay in Kansas, from June to mid-August. It is a wonderful way to learn more about another culture and to expand your cultural knowledge. Exchange delegates represent their country's partner organization and vary in age, but are generally 18-30 years-old. Kansas families with or without children may host IFYEs. Kansas 4-H will need four Kansas 4-H host families our one IFYE for their stay in Kansas.
