Description:

African violets are tender, indoor house plants. The hairy leaves are arranged in a rosette pattern. Flowers may have a single or double row of petals. Flower colors include white, pink, blue, lavender, purple, magenta and bicolors. The leaves of this plant are sensitive to cold water, so care must be taken to not get cold water on the leaves or to let water come to room temperature before watering.
